The pain of procrastination vs the pain of action
Hi,
The queen of consistency is back š. Even though I announced that Iād be posting this weekly email newsletter every Sunday, here I am on Monday, trying to write it before Monday ends so that I can keep continuing to believe that itās still Sunday somewhere in the world (I looked up and itās already Monday in all around the globe š„²).
A couple of days ago, I was chatting with one of my closest friends, Matt. He called me after he finished a 20-mile (32,18km) run. Yes, you read it right. 20 MILES!!!! We were updating each other about our lives, and since he hadnāt uploaded a video for two months, I asked him how Youtube was going. From there, we started talking about procrastination, and I told him, āMatt, you run 20 miles. Filming a Youtube video is much easier than running that much. The pain of procrastination is much worse than the pain of action.ā What great advice. I should start listening to my advice, maybe š©.
My own advice reminded me of one of my favorite quotes.
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.
After reminding myself, I tried to analyze what led me to procrastinate. After figuring out some patterns in my procrastination circle, I recognized some habits I probably should quit. However, as we all know, habit-building/quitting is much more complicated than it sounds. So I started reading some books and research papers about it to learn more deeply. The more I read, the more interesting it gets. Since there is so much helpful information to share, I decided to create a Habit building masterclass on Skillshare. One of the things I like the most about being a content creator is that you get paid to learn anything that fits your niche literally. You learn new stuff, create content, and make money out of it. Literally the dream jobāØ. (Thank you so much for supporting āļø) Iām planning to release the course in December so that we can smash our new yearās resolutionsš¾. With that being said, stay tuned š.
