Why is it so hard to trust people?
Since childhood, I’ve struggled to trust people due to my so-called “childhood traumas” (it’s not clinically diagnosed, so I can’t say for sure). I’ve seen people around me getting betrayed by people they love and trust the most, and I’m not even talking about simple betrayals. I’m talking about severe and traumatizing betrayals affecting the whole family’s life.
As a child, my coping mechanism always told me not to trust anyone and always suspect people. Not only is it a super tiring thing to do, but it also makes you quite toxic when you judge and doubt everyone’s actions and think everyone will betray you at some point in life.
And as if god (I’m not religious, I like to use it as a phrase) wants to prove to me that I shouldn’t trust anyone in this life; this summer, my family and I experienced probably one of the lowest moments of our lives. I can’t share the details about what happened due to privacy but imagine being betrayed by someone you truly trusted as a family. Because of the things that happened during the summer, we’ve been in a financially challenging situation.
I’m super thankful that I have youtube and other sources of income to support the whole family. Even though it’s super stressful and challenging, I believe I will grow much from this experience, and the hard time makes the family come closer. I appreciate everything I have, and I genuinely believe that everything will only get better. I appreciate your support, and once everything is over, I’ll share the details about the things that happened. I’m sure it will inspire many people and give hope if you’re in a bad place.
One thing I can say is nothing lasts forever. Bad and good moments, both of them will end at some point. So why not enjoy our good moments to their full potential and grow as a person when we’re struggling. It’ll only make us appreciate the good times more.
The things I enjoyed this week:
If you’re interested in language learning, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this book. It debunks some of the most common myths about language learning and simplifies the learning process. This book has been one of the biggest inspirations behind my viral language learning videos.
Product: Bose SoundLink Revolve+ (Series II)
I can’t explain how much I like this speaker. The base, the sound quality, the aesthetic, and the portability of it ….
Since I live alone, I listen to a lot of music or a podcast/audiobook, and this speaker has been my bestie. If you’re looking for a speaker, I highly recommend it.
